Hayley McCullough earned a PhD in Communication & Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, MS in Communication & Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and BA in Psychology from the University of Montana.
Hayley's research interests include the linguistic evolution of storytelling, the intersections of pop culture and technology, Fandom Studies and fan-made content as advocacy and cultural critique, Game Studies, Horror Studies, and Gender and Queer Studies. The goal of Hayley's research is to examine the cycle of how culture influences stories and how stories influence culture.
Hayley teaches courses like Film Studies, Social Media & Society, Rhetoric & Video Games, Methods for Video Game Research, Senior Seminar, and Senior Thesis.
