Fines and Fees

There are no charges for overdue books, phone chargers, dry-erase markers, calculators, or Course Reserves that are overdue for less than one month. However, extremely overdue (1 month or more), lost, and damaged items will be billed to the patron's account accordingly (see below).

DVD late fees accumulate at $1 per item, each day past the due date.

Billing for Extremely Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Items: When items become a month overdue (or two weeks overdue in the case of DVDs and extended course reserves) or are lost, or are returned damaged, the patron is billed the replacement cost and a $25 non-refundable processing fee for each item.

New Mexico Tech students, faculty, and staff are billed through their accounts at the Cashier's Office. Refunds of replacement charges will be processed if/when the item is returned within one month of the bill date.

 

Special and Community Borrowers must pay their fines at the Circulation Desk (cash or check).
