Missoula Children's Theatre ALADDIN AUDITIONS

About the Audition
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of ALADDIN on Monday, June 10 at Finley Gym, from 10am to noon. Those auditioning should arrive at 9:45am and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. There is a $10 Registration Fee for all those cast, including Assistant Directors.

Among the roles to be cast are Aladdin and his Mother; the Princess Dory and her father, the Sultan; along with his adviser the Grand Vizier; the keeper of the Book of Answers; Dinazade and her sister Scheherazade; the Mysterious One; some mischievous Genies; a stubborn Donkey; a spunky Goat; scheming Cassim; Ali Baba; Sinbad and his Sailors; wise-cracking Palm Trees and fleet-footed Camels; a Cave of Wonders; Vagabonds; and even a pack of lost Penguins.

Students entering 1st grade through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

There are three FREE Workshops, open to ANYONE. Kids do not have to have auditioned or be in the play to attend these workshops: Tuesday, June 11, 3:00pm, Socorro Public LIbrary, Ages 6-13: MIME; Wednesday, June 12, 3:00pm, Finley Gym, Ages 6-13: STAGE MAKEUP; Thursday, June 13, 3:00pm, Socorro Teen Center, Ages 11-18: MIME.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10:00am to 2:30pm each day.

ALADDIN will be presented on Saturday, June 15 at Finley Gym at 1:30 and 3:30pm.
