NMT Faculty & the SRS

We encourage faculty members to offer extra credit to their students if they attend one or more SRS events. This also boosts attendance, so it's a win-win for everyone.

If you're interested in offering extra credit for one or more of your courses, please email us at srs@nmt.edu. SRS staff can make sure a sign-in sheet is available for your students and after the event, we can email the sign-in sheet to you.

Faculty are also encouraged to volunteer as an evaluator! Please consider making a contribution to SRS by evaluating the presenters at the end of each session. Click below for more information:

Become an Evaluator

We need YOU to become an evaluator for Oral Presentations and Poster Sessions!

Evaluators are integral to the Student Research Symposium. They help students to understand their research and present it better through formulated feedback and in-person review.

Evaluators are volunteers made up of NMT faculty, staff, graduate students, alumni, and community members. The only requirement is that you have a Bachelor's degree in any area of study.

We need evaluators for the following events:

Oral Presentations: Tue, April 16, 5:30pm-8pm

Poster Session 1: Wed, April 17, 10am-12pm

Poster Session 2: Thu, April 18, 10am-12pm

Poster Session 3: Fri, April 19, 10am-12pm

Poster Session 4: Fri, April 19, 1pm-3pm

You may be an evaluator for any or all events. When you register online to participate as an Evaluator, you'll be asked to select which events you'd like to participate in.

NOTE: Since the feedback results will be emailed to the presenters after the SRS ends, we kindly ask that you include all your comments on the form instead of orally.
