Richard A. Cervantes, M.S.

VP for Administration and Finance, New Mexico Tech

 

 

Richard Cervantes is currently the New Mexico Tech Vice President for Administration and Finance in Socorro, New Mexico.   Throughout his long career in higher education, Richard has served as the CFO for three different institutions. This is the second time he has held the position at New Mexico Tech. 

Richard obtained his M.S. and B.B.A from the University of North Texas and is a CPA. His varied past Board and committee affiliations include:  President of the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy, Chairman of the Board of Optical Surface Technology LLC, Chair Small Business Innovative Research Advisory Board, Director of the National Association of College Stores, Director New Mexico Optics Industry Association, Director Langmuir Lab Endowment Advisory Board, Treasurer of the National Cave & Karst Research Institute, Director New Mexico Higher Education Adult Education Advisory Board, Director National Center for Genome Resources, Member Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Formula Funding Advisory Committee, Chair Blinn College District Investment Committee, and Chair Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Strategic Planning Committee.
